Account Manager, Professional Relations is a full-time sales position primarily responsible for generating new business referral opportunities with professional customers (OB/GYN, URO, ONC). The position will report directly to the Physician Founding Partners and be supervised by the Practice Manager.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate the following work approaches to meet the requirements of the position effectively and efficiently:

Excellent Selling Skills – The candidate will be able to consistently demonstrate effective consultative selling skills such as; advanced probing, creating and delivering engaging presentations, strategic sales planning, customer persuasiveness, competitive selling, solutions brainstorming, and effective pull-through of opportunities.

Self-Starter – The candidate must be a self-starter and illustrate good decision making, entrepreneurial action, opportunity prospecting, and a high sense of urgency to meet quarterly objectives and goals. The candidate must be able to work and communicate effectively with different internal and external customers and collaborate when necessary to accomplish assigned tasks and meet territory goals.

Relationship Development & Account Management – Candidates must be able to show a track record of generating new business opportunities by creating and leveraging relationships that enhance and differentiate their offering within an assigned territory. Candidates will integrate themselves into referring offices and will be seen as an extended member of the called-on office offering value-add contact using a consultative selling approach often.

Strong Communication & Organizational Skills – The candidate must have strong oral, written, and presentation skills. The candidate will be able to lead executive-level presentations on sales calls as well as dinner presentations and other events. They will have a high sense of self-awareness, strong customer empathy, and a high level of emotional intelligence. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to be flexible in communications, both internally and externally.

Technical Fluency – The candidate will have a strong grasp of new technologies, business analytics tools, and clinical terminology. resources. They will be able to analyze their territory, monitor sales performance, review competitive trends, and report to leadership. The candidate must become fluent in the terms, procedures, services, and emerging trends in ART.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively promote STL Fertility services, products, and differentiators to a professional audience within the greater STL market.
  • Responsible for increasing referrals from an assigned territory of professional customers which includes but is not limited to OBGYN’s, Urologists, and Oncologists.
  • Establish and maintain an effective relationship with physicians, nurses, ancillary personnel, and practice administrators in referring programs.
  • Provide weekly written and or oral updates to management on activity, results, competitive analysis, and market trends.
  • Coordinate and implement territory-level initiatives (MD lunches, dinner presentations, educational programs, value-add programs).
  • Attend local and regional conferences and events to promote STL Fertility.
  • Manage business resources effectively, process expenses in a timely manner.
  • Call on average of 30 offices per week with the intent to gain face time with key decision-makers such as physicians, nurses, and business personnel.
  • Support additional consumer and internal marketing projects as needed.

Qualifications, Requirements, Compensation

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant sales, marketing, and/or account management experience. Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Technical: Strong oral, written, and presentation skills. Fluent with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business analytics tools.
  • Compensation: Base salary, performance-based quarterly bonus.
  • Good driving record and own vehicle.
