IVF Coordinator Job Description


The IVF Coordinator is an integral member of the growing STL Fertility team, with responsibilities in patient care including coordinating IVF cycles and guiding patients through their fertility journey.


Essential Job Functions include:

  • Coordinate IVF cycles for patients as directed by practice physicians
  • Responsible for ensuring all required labs and procedures are completed and
    documented
  • Document accurately all patient care services in current EMR
  • Triage of patient phone calls and other communications
  • Provide patient counseling and education
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of materials provided to patients
  • Communicate physician orders and instructions to patients
  • Communicate with patients regarding lab results with clear interpretation and
    explanation
  • Review patient charts for medical issues which may require evaluation before
    proceeding with IVF cycle
  • Communicate with all staff, clinical and administrative to provide high quality
    patient care
  • Develop and maintain professional and effective working relationships with all
    practice physicians and staff
  • Actively demonstrate behaviors associated with problem-solving, multitasking, and accountability
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Adhere to all processes, SOP’s, state, and federal regulations
  • Understand and provide cost effective care
  • Complete all required trainings as designated
  • Maintain active licensure and current certifications as applicable

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years relevant job experience (required)
  • Experience in women’s health and/or fertility (preferred)

Competencies:

  • Technical skills (i.e. venipuncture/phlebotomy, injections)
  • Proficiency with computer systems including EMRs
  • Knowledge of and compliance with insurance requirements (i.e. prior-authorizations)
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
  • Adherence to all standards, policies and procedures associated with safety, sanitation,
    confidentiality, and company operations

Position, Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure for the state of employment without restriction (preferred)
  • Current CPR certification, or acquire within 1 month of employment (required)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday at one location with occasional weekend hours depending on patient
    treatment schedules
